You fibber George Osborne

In introducing legislation to increase benefits by 1% PA for the next three years, Chancellor George Osborne said that benefits for disabled people will be protected.

However, It’s now established that Employment Support Allowance is not included in the list of benefits protected, which disabled people in the UK receive.

Ah well, Chancellor George…we fully understand that your eye was not on the ball. Last winter you took your family off on an £11,000 skiing holiday in Switzerland, and it must be difficult remembering that some disabled people need a few hundred pounds benefit to keep them warm and fed when you have these kind of family necessities to keep track of.

Why don’t we have a whip round?
