As “Brexit” gets closer we hear over and again that the “will of the British people” must be obeyed.
It’s never mentioned that the Brexit referendum victory was marginal (only 37% of registered voters, and under 52% of votes cast), nor that the victory owed much to the lie that £8 billion a year would be given to the NHS (an increase of 10% of its budget) if “Brexit” won!
Before the referendum our new Prime Minister, Theresa May, was part of the “Remain” camp, but she changed her mind once the votes were counted, and is now a die-hard Brexiter. Smell a rat?
Opportunity knocked, and since the previous Prime Minister resigned because of the Brexit result, her lust for power meant she threw her all into a contest to become PM.
Why not?
If you want power, why not get used to being corrupt?
